Job summary

Knoxville Recovery Center in Asheville, NC seeks a Primary Therapist to manage client caseloads, conduct assessments, and lead group and family therapy sessions. You will maintain a safe treatment environment and communicate with the treatment team to ensure high-quality care.

Responsibilities include creating individualized treatment plans, delivering evidence-based therapies, documenting progress, and participating in treatment planning meetings.

Qualifications

• Master's level education preferred or related experience in the substance abuse field.
• Knowledge of alcohol and chemical dependency treatment and dual diagnosis experience.
• Understanding of varied treatment modalities and interventions.

Responsibilities

• Develop individualized treatment plans addressing clients' needs, goals and challenges.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions using multiple modalities.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions and participate in family therapy meetings.
• Collaborate with clinical, medical and operational teams for coordinated care.
• Document client progress and treatment interventions in a timely manner.
• Assess and manage crises to ensure client safety and well-being.
• Contribute to treatment planning meetings with clinical insights and recommendations.
• Pursue ongoing professional development to maintain licensure and skills.
