Job summary

Oasis Recovery Centers Inc in Knoxville, TN seeks a Primary Therapist to manage client caseloads through weekly one‑on‑one sessions, assessments, treatment planning, group facilitation, and family therapy.

You will collaborate with clinical, medical, and operational teams to ensure coordinated care, document progress, respond to crises, contribute to treatment meetings, and pursue ongoing professional development to maintain licensure.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or related experience in substance abuse field.
• LPC/MHSP, LADC, LMFT, CADC, LADAC certifications.
• Knowledge of alcohol and chemical dependency treatment and dual diagnosis experience.
• Understanding of the range of treatment and interventions needed for chemically dependent individuals.

Responsibilities

• Develop individualised treatment plans that address clients' unique needs, goals, and challenges.
• Deliver evidence‑based therapeutic interventions to clients, utilising various modalities.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions
• Engage in family therapy sessions to address family dynamics, educate on addiction, promote healthy communication, and support the recovery process.
• Collaborate with the clinical, medical and operational team members to ensure coordinated care.
• Document client progress, treatment interventions, and any significant observations in a timely and consistent manner.
• Assess and manage crises or emergencies that may arise, applying appropriate intervention strategies to ensure client safety.
• Participate in treatment planning meetings: Actively contribute to treatment team meetings, providing clinical insights, progress updates, and recommendations for the ongoing care of clients.
• Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities and training to enhance clinical skills and maintain licensure and certifications.
