Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a dedicated therapist to join our Clinical Team. The ideal candidate must be registered as an Associate AMFT, APCC, or ACSW with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences and demonstrate a strong ability to support clients through substance use, mental health, and co-occurring challenges. A strong knowledge of substance use dependence, family systems, mental health, evidence-based modalities, holistic and whole-person care, and community recovery resources is expected. Knowledge of current legal standards related to professional practice, reporting, boundaries, and related issues is necessary.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Provide individual, group, family, and couples therapy to program participants.
  2. Conduct Bio/Psycho/Social assessments, diagnose, and develop tailored treatment plans.
  3. Manage a caseload appropriate to experience.
  4. Ensure comprehensive aftercare and discharge planning.
  5. Collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals to support treatment plans.
  6. Maintain accurate documentation per DHCS and Joint Commission standards.
  7. Participate in weekly team meetings for coordinated care.
  8. Provide on-call emergency consultation and crisis intervention, including after-hours coverage.
  9. Demonstrate cultural competence and sensitivity with diverse populations.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • Associate Licensure: MSW, MA in Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (AMFT, APCC, ACSW).
  • Strong knowledge of substance use dependence, mental health, family systems, and evidence-based treatments.
  • Understanding of legal and ethical standards, including boundaries and reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to pass health, TB clearance, background checks, and drug screening.
  • Physical ability to sit, walk, stand, drive, lift up to 20 lbs, and communicate effectively.
  • Work primarily in substance use and mental health settings, indoors and outdoors.

Preferred:

  • Experience with addiction and dual diagnoses.
  • Experience leading group therapy sessions.
  • Experience working with adults, couples, and families affected by substance use disorders.

Education:

  • Master’s degree in social work (MSW), Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Currently licensed to practice independently as an ACSW, AMFT, or APCC registered with the relevant board.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years in addiction and dual diagnoses treatment.
  • Proven experience facilitating therapy groups and working with adults, couples, and families.
