Position Summary

We are seeking talented and experienced licensed mental health therapists to join our team as independent contractors (1099). This is a fantastic opportunity for therapists looking for flexibility, autonomy, and a supportive practice environment. As a 1099 contractor, you will be responsible for providing exceptional therapeutic services to our clients, while we handle the administrative burdens, including scheduling and billing.

Essential Qualifications

• Minimum of a master's degree in counseling, psychology, clinical mental health, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
• Valid and active Texas professional license (e.g., LPC, LMFT, LCSW, Psychologist).
• Professional liability insurance.
• A minimum of two years of experience providing individual, couples, and/or family therapy (preferred).
• Strong clinical and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Familiarity with EHR systems and telehealth platforms.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based, culturally sensitive therapy to individuals, couples, and families.
• Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation using our EHR system.
• Adhere to all ethical and legal standards, including HIPAA and state licensing laws.
• Assess and manage client risk, including crisis management.

Location

This is a primarily virtual position, with the potential option for in-person sessions if desired and feasible.

Schedule

You have the flexibility to set your own schedule and manage your caseload, creating a work-life balance that suits you. We provide comprehensive administrative support, handling scheduling, billing, and insurance verification, allowing you to focus on providing quality therapy.

Compensation

We offer a competitive compensation structure, though actual earnings vary based on insurance reimbursements, self-pay rates, and session types. As a guideline, you can expect to earn $50-$75 per typical therapy session. We prioritize transparency and will provide detailed compensation information during the interview process.

Caseload

Once you have onboarded, it will take some time to build your caseload, with the potential for a full caseload based on your availability and client demand. You can start taking self-pay/out-of-network clients right away. It can take weeks/months to be credentialed with insurance panels, which, if opted for, can help improve your caseload. Credentialing is not required. If you have an existing caseload, we will work with you to get them into our system.

Administrative and Business Responsibilities:

As an independent contractor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical services, maintaining accurate and timely documentation within our EHR system, and adhering to ethical and legal standards. You'll manage your own schedule, build your caseload, and participate in optional insurance credentialing. A minimum availability of 10 hours per week is expected. You will also ensure professional conduct, utilize our secure communication systems, and follow our financial and business policies, including those related to billing and client confidentiality.
