Job summary

Whetstone Academy is a therapeutic boarding school for boys ages 10-15 located in Mountain Rest, SC. We are seeking a Primary Therapist to provide individual, family, and group therapy to students and their families, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with the treatment team to support trauma-informed care and healthy adolescent development.

Relocation reimbursement is offered, and the role emphasizes compassionate, evidence-based practice with opportunities for professional development

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling, social work, or related field.
• Licensure as a professional counselor, social worker, or marriage and family therapist in South Carolina.
• Experience working with adolescents and families.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and family systems theory.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy to students and their families
• Develop and implement treatment plans
• Conduct assessments and evaluations
• Collaborate with other members of the treatment team; maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Participate in weekly clinical team meetings
• Provide crisis intervention as needed
• Facilitate psychoeducational groups

About the Position:

We are seeking a Primary Therapist who loves children to join our team. We offer a relocation reimbursement. The Primary Therapist will provide individual, family, and group therapy to students and their families. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of adolescent development, trauma-informed care, and family systems theory.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy to students and their families
• Develop and implement treatment plans
