Our clinicians direct the experience, growth, and development of a small caseload of boys ages 10–17 with complex functional challenges, using traditional therapies and dynamic, context‑based interventions. Our clinical team includes a child and adolescent psychiatrist, a Ph.D. clinical psychologist, a Ph.D. marriage and family counselor, a doctoral‑level occupational therapist, an independent‑licensed LCSW, a speech‑language pathologist, and an art therapist. This demanding leadership position involves working with students who have multiple diagnoses, as well as developmental, attachment, and social‑emotional difficulties. Clinicians lead individual, family, and group therapies, and support multidisciplinary teams and program development. Maturity, emotional investment, creativity, follow‑through, and an inspired commitment to children’s growth and well‑being are key characteristics of a successful candidate. Experience in school or residential settings, social thinking, neuro‑cognitive functioning, experiential approaches, and hands‑on learning are preferred.
Treatment oversight for a dedicated caseload of students.
Holding weekly individual and group therapy sessions, and family therapy sessions every other week.
Writing session notes, progress reports, and other professional documentation.
Support a team of residential and academic staff to implement treatment objectives for each student on your caseload.
Participating in professional meetings to collaborate and share expertise on students.
Work within Keswick School's established program and social‑emotional curriculum to drive positive outcomes.
Provide parent support through regularly scheduled support groups and parent events.
Master's degree in the fields of social work or psychology. Must be able to work on campus five days a week.
Current licensure to practice in Virginia (or ability to gain licensure immediately).
Ability to pass criminal and child abuse/neglect background checks.
Valid driver's license. Authorization to work in the U.S.
