Job summary

Newport Healthcare is seeking a Primary Therapist to conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions. You will collaborate with treatment teams and connect directly with families.

Applicants should hold a Master's degree in psychology, counseling, or social work (or be in a doctoral program), be board registered in the state, and have experience working with young adults or adolescents.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or related field; or enrollment in a doctorate program from an accredited or state-approved graduate school (required)
• Board registered (APCC, LAPC, ASW, AMFT, MHCA) or Psychologic Associate in the state where services are provided (required)
• Experience facilitating therapy with young adults and/or adolescents

Responsibilities

• Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions, within Newport Healthcare's clinical model and the Attachment-Based Family Therapy model
• Lead family orientations, welcome presentations, and family support groups
• Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized treatment and safety plans
• Participate in treatment team meetings, staff meetings, and clinical supervision sessions
• Serve as a compassionate, informative point of contact for clients' family members
