Job summary

  • Evidence-based modalities and crisis management skills essential.

Responsibilities

  • Group Therapy Facilitation: Lead daily PHP/IOP group sessions using evidence-based modalities.
  • Individual Therapy & Assessment: Conduct weekly counseling, intake assessments, and safety evaluations.
  • Treatment Planning & Case Coordination: Develop and update individualized plans with the care team.
  • Clinical Documentation: Complete timely progress notes and discharge summaries in the EHR.
  • Crisis Intervention: Manage acute situations and set safety plans as needed.

Novaris is an innovative mental health facility providing high-quality, evidence-based care through our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated, fully licensed clinician (LCMHC, LCSW, or LMFT) to join our team full-time on-site in Charlotte. In this role, you will be a core part of our clinical programming, facilitating dynamic group therapy sessions, providing individual therapy, and working closely with an interdisciplinary team to support clients navigating moderate to severe mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Group Therapy Facilitation: Lead daily PHP/IOP group sessions utilizing evidence-based modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, ACT, trauma-informed care, and psychoeducation).
  • Individual Therapy & Assessment: Conduct weekly individual counseling sessions, clinical intake assessments, and safety/crisis evaluations.
  • Treatment Planning & Case Coordination: Develop, review, and update comprehensive individualized treatment plans in collaboration with psychiatric providers and case management.
  • Clinical Documentation: Complete timely, compliant documentation (progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries) in our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Crisis Intervention: Manage acute clinical situations, perform risk assessments, and establish effective safety plans as needed within higher levels of care.
Qualifications
  • Education: Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Active, unrestricted North Carolina clinical license (LCMHC, LCSW, LMFT) required.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience leading group therapy; direct experience in PHP, IOP, or residential treatment settings strongly preferred.
  • Core Competencies: Strong grounding in evidence-based modalities, excellent crisis management skills, adaptability in a startup setting, and a passion for group dynamics.
