Novant Health's Behavioral Health Team at Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Therapist II to support quality of life for patients. This role requires full licensure as specified and a schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

As part of a collaborative team, you will conduct patient assessments, implement treatment plans, coordinate discharge planning, and uphold the Novant Mission and Values, while serving adults with mental health and substance use disorders.

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree required in psychology, social work, counseling or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience serving individuals with mental health or substance use disorders.
  • Licensed Clinical Mental Health Clinician, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Clinic Psychologist required.

Therapist II

We are looking for purpose-driven Therapists to join our Behavioral Health Team at Presbyterian Medical Center. Join a collaborative team where you work directly to support the quality of life for every patient.

Must be: Fully Licensed Clinical Mental Health Clinician, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Clinic Psychologist

Schedule: 8:00AM-4:30PM, Monday - Friday

Location: Charlotte, NC Presbyterian Medical Center

What You'll Do
  • Provide complete patient assessments, plan for therapeutic interventions and appropriate follow up care
  • Implement treatment plans, coordinate the treatment process and discharge planning

What We're Looking For
  • Education: Graduate Degree, required. Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related field.
  • Experience: 2 years of Serving individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders, required.
  • Licensure/Certification:Licensed Clinical Mental Health Clinician, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Clinic Psychologist (not required for substance use therapist roles in Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and BH hospital based departments, required. For the Substance Use Therapist role, Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist or Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate. This specific license is limited to our hospital based departments that treat patients with substance use disorders, required. NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions within 3 months of hire. Team members in strictly remote positions are exempt. Team members working strictly in behavioral health outpatient clinics are exempt from state approved curricula but are required to take NEC0170 De-escalation Techniques and Effective Communication Strategies within 3 months of hire, required. Involuntary Commitment Examiner (preferred for Inpatient; required for BH Access within one year of hire), required. Notary Public, preferred.
  • Additional Skills (required):Good working knowledge of computers. Ability to care for Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse Age Specific populations.
