Job summary

Montessori Academy of Lancaster is seeking teachers with a Bachelor's Degree and PA state screenings. Roles start as floater positions with potential promotion to assistant or lead teacher as classrooms open.

Preference for PA teaching certificate and AMS credential; training is provided when available and benefits are offered to staff.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's Degree (early childhood education degree a plus).
• PA State teaching certificate preferred.
• AMS credential preferred.
• Must complete PA state screenings (PA State Criminal, Child Abuse, NSOR, FBI Fingerprinting, Physical and TB Test, Mandated Reporter Training).

Responsibilities

• Floater roles to learn the community and how the school operates.
• When a classroom position becomes available, placement as assistant or lead teacher; training offered when available.

Settled on 10 acres, nestled among farmland, and with thoughtfully planned Montessori environments, the Montessori Academy of Lancaster is seeking additional team members to start or continue their path of peaceful education at our 45 year old institution.Idyllic Lancaster county setting for ages 3-6 year olds in Primary and Kindergarten learning environment. We start most of our teachers in "floater" roles so they can learn about our community. When a classroom position becomes available, we place in either an assistant or lead teacher role. We offer training, when available, for anyone who is not already Momtessori certified.

• Must have Bachelor's Degree, bachelor's degree in early childhood education a plus.
