The Primary School Teaching Assistant at Holland Hall School works closely with the classroom teacher to support a student-centered learning environment.
They assist in implementing engaging curriculum, supervise students, and help with materials and activities while reporting to the Head of Primary School. A high school diploma is required; an associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Holland Hall was established in 1922 and currently serves approximately 1,000 preschool through 12th grade students in a coeducational setting. The Primary School Teaching Assistant interacts with their classroom teacher and students daily. They are part of a dynamic team approach to education. They assist in the implementation of an engaging and innovative curriculum while supporting a positive, student-centered school culture. Each Teaching Assistant – PS reports to the Head of Primary School. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. An associate degree or a bachelor's degree is preferred. This position is not eligible for telecommuting; however, temporary telecommuting arrangements may be approved for circumstances such as inclement weather, special projects, or business travel. These arrangements are approved on an as-needed basis only, with no expectation of ongoing continuance.

High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
Associate degree or bachelor's degree preferred.
Familiarity with standard concepts, practice, and procedures for particular age group.
Must be organized and able to prioritize work.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Possess basic computer skills, familiarity with MS Office applications.
Able to utilize a variety of educational materials and resources such as computer, telephones, video equipment, toys, swing sets, mats, balls, and related equipment.
Regular attendance is required for successful completion of job duties.
Workday takes place from 7:45 am to 3:15 pm.
Be able to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Activities include walking, standing, bending, kneeling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual activity.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to outside weather conditions on a twice-daily basis for approximately thirty minutes at a time.
