Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking a dedicated SEN Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Enfield setting on a full-time, long-term basis starting September 2026. This role offers structured professional development and the chance to meaningfully impact young learners with diverse needs.

You will support nursery and reception children 1:1 and in small groups, encourage communication and early learning, assist with sensory activities and personal care where needed, and collaborate

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN or Early Years pupils.
• A calm, caring and patient approach.
• Passionate about supporting children's development and wellbeing.
• Comfortable supporting non-verbal or pre-verbal children.
• Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Willing to support personal care if needed.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Supporting children on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Encouraging communication, interaction and early learning development.
• Assisting with sensory play and structured activities.
• Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.
• Following individual learning and support plans.
• Assisting with personal care where required.
• Working closely with teachers, therapists and parents.
• Helping create a calm, engaging and supportive classroom environment.
