Job summary

Ignitus Recovery in Boulder, CO seeking a Primary PHP Therapist to join our outpatient team at AIM Health. The role focuses on assessments, treatment planning, individual and group therapy, and coordination of care within a trauma-informed, recovery-oriented framework.

The ideal candidate holds LPCC/LPC/LSSW/LCSW/LMFT or CAS licensure with experience in residential or outpatient SUD or co-occurring settings and a commitment to culturally responsive care for young adults.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a behavioral health–related field.
• LPCC, LPC, LSW, LCSW, LMFT, and/or CAS licensure.
• Experience providing therapy in residential and/or outpatient SUD or co-occurring settings.
• Knowledge of ASAM criteria, clinical documentation standards, and client safety practices.
• Proficiency with EHR/EMR systems.
• Strong interpersonal and crisis-management skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
• CPR/First Aid certification and other state-required credentials.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete biopsychosocial assessments, risk screenings, and ASAM-aligned clinical evaluations.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans based on client progress and clinical need.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy focused on recovery, safety, and skill development.
• Facilitate scheduled clinical programming and maintain accurate attendance records.
• Complete all clinical documentation in the EHR/EMR within required timeframes and regulatory standards; participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and coordinate care with internal and external providers.
• Support discharge planning, aftercare recommendations, and continuity of care across levels of service.
• Maintain a therapeutic environment that is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and client-empowering.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Ignitus Recovery is a growing behavioral health organization providing residential and outpatient treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders at Cherry Hills Recovery and AIM Health in Boulder. This role offers a unique opportunity to help rebuild an exceptional outpatient treatment program at AIM Health, Boulder focused on treating young adults.

The clinician provides client-centered clinical services across outpatient levels of care (PHP, IOP). This role is responsible for assessments, treatment planning, individual and group therapy, documentation, and coordination of care using a recovery oriented system of care in a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and evidence-based approach. Clinicians work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support client safety, engagement, and long-term recovery outcomes.
