Job summary

Ignitus Recovery is seeking a Primary PHP Therapist in Boulder to help grow an outpatient program at AIM Health. You will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide individual, group, and family therapy within PHP/IOP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a behavioral health–related field.
• Licensed or credentialed clinicians (LPCC/LPC/LSW/LCSW/LMFT/CAS).
• Experience in residential and/or outpatient SUD or co-occurring settings.
• Knowledge of ASAM criteria and clinical documentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Complete biopsychosocial assessments and ASAM-aligned evaluations.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy focused on recovery.
• Maintain accurate attendance and complete clinical documentation in EHR/EMR.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams and external providers.
• Support discharge planning and continuity of care across levels of service.
• Maintain a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, client-empowering environment.

Primary PHP Therapist

Location: Boulder, CO
Type: Full-Time, W-2
Schedule: Mon–Fri days
Compensation: $65,000-90,000 (commensurate with licensure and experience)

ABOUT THE ROLE

Ignitus Recovery is a growing behavioral health organization providing residential and outpatient treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders at Cherry Hills Recovery and AIM Health in Boulder. This role offers a unique opportunity to help rebuild an exceptional outpatient treatment program at AIM Health, Boulder focused on treating young adults.

The clinician provides client-centered clinical services across outpatient levels of care (PHP, IOP). This role is responsible for assessments, treatment planning, individual and group therapy, documentation, and coordination of care using a recovery oriented system of care in a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and evidence-based approach. Clinicians work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support client safety, engagement, and long-term recovery outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complete biopsychosocial assessments, risk screenings, and ASAM-aligned clinical evaluations
• Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans based on client progress and clinical need
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy focused on recovery, safety, and skill development
• Facilitate scheduled clinical programming and maintain accurate attendance records
• Complete all clinical documentation in the EHR/EMR within required timeframes and regulatory standardsParticipate in multidisciplinary team meetings and coordinate care with internal and external providers
• Support discharge planning, aftercare recommendations, and continuity of care across levels of service
• Maintain a therapeutic environment that is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and client-empowering

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a behavioral health–related field
• LPCC, LPC, LSW, LCSW, LMFT, and or CAS
• Experience providing therapy in residential and/or outpatient SUD or co-occurring settings
• Knowledge of ASAM criteria, clinical documentation standards, and client safety practices
• Proficiency with EHR/EMR systems

Preferred:

• Strong interpersonal and crisis-management skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
• CPR/First Aid certification and other state-required credentials
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills
