Job summary

Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is seeking a full-time Primary Operator for its St. Marys, PA facility on the 3x3 night shift from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

The role reports to the Manager of Primary Operations and will involve operating equipment, ensuring product quality, and following standard procedures. Responsibilities include recording process data, using measuring tools, supporting continuous improvement, and assisting in writing or revising procedures.

Qualifications

• Able to read and understand procedures, process sheets, etc.
• Able to do basic math calculations such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
• Understand decimals, fractions, percentages, averages, etc.
• Able to write legible sentences.

Responsibilities

• To efficiently and safely operate equipment, including the making of satisfactory adjustments to ensure product quality.
• To know and follow procedures applicable to this job classification.
• Legibly record and maintain applicable product/process information.
• Effectively utilize measuring equipment and information obtained from its use to ensure continuation of control conditions.
• Provide active input to continuous process improvement.
• Effectively communicate job related information to co-workers, supervisors, service areas and others with a need to know.
• Maintain cooperative relationships with other functional areas.
• Provide assistance in writing new or revising old procedures.
• Participate in the training of others and aid in their appraisal.
• Perform other tasks as requested.
