Job summary

Montessori International Children’s House in Annapolis, MD seeks a Primary Montessori Assistant to work closely with the Lead Montessori Teacher to prepare and maintain a calm, orderly, and engaging learning environment for children aged 18 months to 12 years.

You will observe, support transitions, and help plan developmentally appropriate activities, while modeling respect and integrity and contributing to a collaborative school culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement is an Associate's degree; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in a Montessori environment is preferred.
• Able to pass health and background checks as required by the Office of Child Care.
• Commitment to Montessori mission and collaborative culture.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain an orderly, joyful environment.
• Collaborate with Lead Teacher and Educational Director on learning experiences.
• Model respectful behavior and maintain calm classroom atmosphere.
