Job summary

White Rose Education is seeking a passionate Primary Mathematics Specialist to join our established team in Halifax. You’ll help develop, review and refine high-quality mathematics resources and assessments, ensuring mathematical accuracy and clear progression for primary learners.

This office-based role requires QTS with ECT induction, a strong track record in primary maths teaching, and the ability to translate classroom practice into engaging materials.

Qualifications

• QTS, completion of the ECT induction and a degree-level qualification.
• Strong track record of effective primary mathematics teaching.
• Experience planning, delivering and evaluating high-quality mathematics teaching.
• Experience developing teaching resources or assessment activities.
• Experience assessing pupils and addressing misconceptions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review and improve high-quality primary mathematics resources, curriculum materials and assessments.
• Contribute to curriculum and assessment review, ensuring materials reflect effective pedagogy and progression.
• Apply understanding of how children learn mathematics, including misconceptions and conceptual development.
• Collaborate with colleagues to evaluate existing resources and develop new materials.
• Use research, classroom experience and school feedback to inform curriculum development.
• Contribute to planning and delivery of professional development for teachers and school leaders.
• Communicate mathematical ideas clearly to a range of audiences.
• Support the wider Primary Maths team with curriculum priorities and quality assurance.
• Manage allocated work, meet deadlines and maintain high standards.
