Job summary

UChange Home Care is hiring Homemaker / Caregiver for in-home assignments in Joliet, IL. This part-time role offers 20–25 hours per week with starting pay of $17/hour, dependent on experience and client needs.

We seek dependable individuals who value reliability, compassion, and professional conduct to support seniors and adults with disabilities in their homes. You’ll perform personal care tasks, light housekeeping, meal prep, and companionship, while using a mobile app to clock in and document

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of caregiving or home care experience (preferred).
• CNA or HHA certification (preferred but not required — training available for the right candidate).
• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance.
• Smartphone capable of handling care documentation.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Able to pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Helping clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Providing mobility assistance and safe transfers.
• Offering companionship and emotional support.
• Preparing meals and assisting with light housekeeping.
• Keeping the client’s home clean and safe.
• Using a mobile app to clock in and document care.
• Communicating effectively with our office team.
• Maintaining dependable attendance and professional conduct.
