Job summary

Aptive is seeking a Primary Care Registered Nurse (RN) for the William Bill Kling Department of Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic in Sunrise, FL. The RN will deliver patient-centered care in a multidisciplinary outpatient setting, focusing on wellness and disease management for Veterans.

The role includes patient assessments, care coordination, documentation, and advocacy, with readiness to respond to urgent situations and escalate when required.

Qualifications

• RN licensure with current, unrestricted license in any US state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate from American Heart Association.
• 4+ years nursing experience; 2+ years inpatient care coordination; 2+ years outpatient experience.
• ASN accepted; BSN preferred; ACEN or CCNE accredited education.

Responsibilities

• Patient assessment: health history, exams, symptom evaluation.
• Care coordination: referrals, diagnostics, follow-ups, transitions.
• Documentation: accurate records and regulatory compliance.
• Patient advocacy: ensure patient rights and preferences are respected.
• Emergency response: assess and respond to medical emergencies as needed.
