Job summary

Eastern Oklahoma VA Health Care System in Muskogee and Vinita delivers comprehensive primary care and specialty services to Veterans. The nursing team provides evidence-based care, care coordination, and patient education within the Primary Care Department.

We seek a licensed nurse with ADN/BSN and active RN licensure to support PACT, leadership, and quality initiatives in a veteran-centered environment.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency required.
• Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved and accredited by ACEN or CCNE.
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN licensure in a US state or territory.
• State licensing upon bridge program completion may be required for interim appointment.
• Registered Nurse with required licensure and education.
• Foreign nursing graduates must meet equivalency requirements.

Responsibilities

• Delivers competent, evidence-based care to primary care patients.
• Provides direct patient care and coordinates care with licensed staff.
• Manages assigned patient panels using registries for timely evaluation and access.
• Offers health promotion, education, and coaching on wellness and chronic care.
• Supports nursing education, orientation, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Leads and collaborates with the team to improve holistic primary care.
