Job summary

Functional Medicine of Idaho seeks a Primary Care Provider to deliver full-spectrum primary care in Ammon, Idaho, blending conventional medicine with functional approaches, preventive care and chronic disease management. You will build a patient panel, work with an integrated team, and pursue root-cause assessments to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of clinical experience in primary care or outpatient settings.
• Idaho license as an MD, DO, NP, or PA, or eligibility to obtain one.
• Prescriptive authority in Idaho, or eligibility to obtain it.
• Degree from an accredited institution.
• Genuine interest in functional and integrative medicine; deepening expertise encouraged.
• Comfort working inside a multidisciplinary team alongside nurses and nutritionists.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-spectrum primary care blending conventional care with functional medicine and root-cause workups.
• Collaborate with providers in other specialties, nurses, nutritionists, and health coaches for a coordinated plan.
• Grow a patient-focused panel with support from marketing, referrals, and front office teams.

Functional Medicine of Idaho was founded in 2018 because we saw what was happening to good people inside a broken system. Patients cycling through appointments, leaving with quick fixes that only addressed the surface. Smart, motivated people who wanted to get better and kept being sent home without real answers. What You'll Do

• Patient Care: Provide full-spectrum primary care to a panel of your own, blending conventional primary care with functional medicine, preventive care, chronic disease management, and root-cause workups.
• Collaborative Care: Work closely with providers in other specialties, nurses, nutritionists, and health coaches to give patients one coordinated plan instead of several disconnected ones.
• Build Your Panel: Grow a patient-focused practice with support from our marketing, referral, and front office teams, including internal and external referral networks.
• Continuous Improvement: Give your site's Functional Medicine Medical Director direct feedback on patient flow, care delivery, EMR documentation, diagnostic testing, and therapeutic options.
• Community Involvement: Participate in FMI-hosted events and community education efforts that build your panel and our culture.

What You Bring

• Two or more years of clinical experience, preferably in primary care or an outpatient setting. Newer providers with functional medicine training are encouraged to apply.
• Active Idaho license as an MD, DO, NP, or PA, or eligibility to obtain one
• Prescriptive authority in Idaho, or eligibility to obtain it
• Degree from an accredited institution
• Genuine interest in functional and integrative medicine, we will help you go deeper
• Comfort working inside a multidisciplinary team alongside nurses and nutritionists

Nice to Have

• Comfort seeing patients across the age range, including pediatric and adolescent patients
• Certification through the Institute for Functional Medicine, or coursework in progress
• Prior experience practicing functional or integrative medicine
• Comfort speaking to groups, we host community talks, workshops, and shared medical visits
• Proficiency with EMR systems and general computer literacy
