Job summary

Jobot in Poway, California, is seeking a Primary Care Physician to deliver comprehensive outpatient care as part of a collaborative community health team. You will provide direct patient care, develop preventive plans, and coordinate with nurses and scribes to ensure quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include exams, treatment decisions, and documentation, with ongoing supervision of residents and advanced practice providers. California license and DEA licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree required.
• Board certified in a primary care field.
• California medical license required.
• Current California Drug Enforcement Administration licensure required.
• Current Basic Life Support certification required through an American Heart Association approved source.
• Ability to work with patients from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct outpatient primary care to patients across diverse backgrounds.
• Administer or prescribe treatments, medications, immunizations and preventive care plans.
• Conduct physical examinations and assess patient symptoms, medical history and overall health status.
• Order and review tests, diagnostic imaging and clinical findings to guide treatment plans.
• Provide oversight and supervision to advanced practice providers, residents and students as needed.
• Work closely with nurses, medical assistants, scribes and care team members to support patient outcomes.
• Document patient visits, diagnoses, treatment plans and follow-up care accurately and timely.
