Job summary

The Veterans Health Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs in Durham, NC seeks a Primary Care Physician to deliver comprehensive primary care to enrolled Veterans in the Durham Health Care System. The physician will evaluate patients in outpatient clinics, using in-person and telehealth modalities.

Candidates must hold an MD/DO from an approved school, be licensed in the United States, complete residency in internal or family medicine, and be proficient in English.

Qualifications

• Must hold an MD/DO degree from an approved school.
• Current full, unrestricted medical license in the U.S.
• Residency in internal medicine or family medicine completed.
• Board certification preferred for faculty status.

Responsibilities

• Independent clinical evaluation of Veterans.
• Comprehensive primary care in outpatient setting.
• Deliver care through in-person and telehealth modalities.
• Collaborate with a Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT).
• Follow VA standards, safety protocols, and continuity of care.
