Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Durham, NC, seeks a Primary Care Physician to deliver comprehensive outpatient care to enrolled Veterans.

The role includes clinical and administrative responsibilities and adherence to VA guidelines and policies. The physician will work with a Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT), providing care through direct and telehealth modalities and coordinating referrals as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have MD or DO degree from an approved medical school.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the United States.
• Residency in internal medicine or family medicine approved by VA/ACGME/AOA.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care to Veterans in outpatient settings.
• Perform clinical evaluations and coordinate care within the PACT team.
• Utilize telehealth and other modalities as appropriate.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge and competencies.
• Work schedule 8:00am–4:30pm, Monday–Friday.
