UnitedHealth Group through Optum California seeks full-time or part-time Primary Care Physicians to join our Torrance, CA team. You will be part of the nation’s largest care delivery network, performing outpatient care with a focus on quality and patient well-being.

Position offers a generous compensation package including bonus potential, comprehensive benefits, PTO, CME support, license renewals, and a robust relocation package for full-time providers.

Formación

• MD/DO/MBBS degree required.
• Board certification or eligibility in Family or Internal Medicine.
• Active CA medical license or ability to obtain prior to employment.
• Valid DEA license or ability to obtain prior to employment.

Responsabilidades

• Outpatient primary care, typically 18–20 patients per day.
• Office hours Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM; no nights or weekends.
• No on-call or urgent care shifts required; urgent care may be optional for extra pay.

Position Highlights

• We are looking for Full-Time or Part Time Physicians to join our team
• Quality vs. Quantity Model - Typically see around 18 - 20 patients per day
• Scheduled weekly administrative time, ~40 mins baked into each day
  • 40 min new pt visits, 20 min follow up pt visits
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of health care providers
• Dedicated support staff, so clinicians can focus on practicing at full scope of license
• This position does not require call or urgent care shifts, outpatient only
  • Urgent care shifts are optional for additional pay, not required
• Office hours: Monday thru Friday; 8 AM - 5 PM, no nights or weekends

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), Doctor of Osteopathic (D.O.), or M.B.B.S
• Board certification or eligibility in Family or Internal Medicine
• Active, unrestricted medical license in CA or the ability to obtain prior to employment
• Valid DEA license or the ability to obtain prior to employment

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years experience in managed care setting preferred
• Bilingual Spanish preferred
• Open to new grads!

California Residents Only:

The salary range for California residents is $237,361 to $331,688. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
