Job summary

Tennessee Department of Health is seeking a physician to provide accessible primary care and women's health services, especially for uninsured populations who rely on local health departments for care. You will deliver direct patient services, oversee advanced practice nurses, and support county and regional operations to advance TDH’s priorities of Access, Prevention, Equity, and Workforce Excellence.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Valid and unrestricted Tennessee medical license.
• Valid DEA license.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in a primary care specialty (Family Medicine or Internal Medicine).

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, delivers, and manages comprehensive health services for adults and children.
• Precepts and collaborates with mid-level clinical providers.
• Supports county and regional operations to advance access, prevention, equity and workforce excellence.
• Keeps up-to-date with best practices to provide patient-centered care.
