UC San Diego Health is seeking a Per Diem Primary Care Physician to fill in for vacations and leaves at multiple outpatient locations across San Diego County, including Encinitas, Rancho Bernardo, Eastlake, Vista, UCSD Campus, and Downtown San Diego. Tele-visit coverage may be required.

The position is a contract, 40% FTE role with an hourly rate of $157.05–$160.58, offering flexible scheduling (days, three consecutive weekdays, 8:00am–5:00pm).

UC San Diego Health CommUnity Care is recruiting for a Per Diem Primary Care Physician - up to 40% FTE, who will fill in for vacations/leaves of absence. This per diem position will have responsibility for multiple outpatient locations throughout the county including Encinitas, Pacific Highlands Ranch, Rancho Bernardo, Eastlake, Vista, UCSD Campus, and Downtown San Diego. Some coverage will be by Tele-Visit. Please note, this position does not include an academic appointment through the School of Medicine.

CLINICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Will serve as a Per Diem Primary Care Physician, primarily covering Primary Care scheduled physician vacations and scheduled leaves.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• M.D. or D.O. degree
• Current California Medical License, or ability and commitment to obtain CA license prior to start date
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in an outpatient setting
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Urgent Care
• Must be available for three consecutive weekdays during business bours (M-F 8:00am-5:00pm)

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

• Must pass a background check.
• Must pass a pre- employment physical, drug screen and immunization screening.
