Job summary

Galileo is seeking a Primary Care Physician to join our hybrid clinical team. You will deliver care digitally and in person, traveling 1–3 days monthly to our employer onsite clinics in Bastrop and McGregor, TX.

Part-time arrangement up to 24 hours/month is available, with a focus on high-quality, personalized patient care. Join a collaborative group that uses data, technology, and operational rigor to optimize outcomes while enabling shared decision-making with patients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of clinical experience in chronic and primary care.
• Active board certification in Family or Internal Medicine.
• Active licensure in Texas or eligible to obtain by start date with Galileo.
• Experience with digital-first healthcare and virtual medicine is a plus.

• Provide best-in-class care for Galileo patients managing preventive and chronic conditions using our app and technology.
• Deliver compassionate care across diverse patient needs, including diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and mental health.
• Care for a diverse patient population with an inclusive culture.
• Travel monthly to onsite clinics in Bastrop, TX and McGregor, TX to provide care.
• Collaborate with team members to solve patient problems efficiently.

About the Role

Galileo is looking for a culturally sensitive Primary Care Physician to join our primary care medical group. As a part of our collaborative clinical care team, you will leverage data, technology, and operational rigor to optimize great patient outcomes while offering highly personalized care and shared decision making with patients.

This is a hybrid position in which you’ll be providing clinical care digitally and in person. On a monthly basis, you will be traveling to provide care for 1-3 consecutive days at our employer onsite clinics in Bastrop, TX and McGregor, TX. Remote virtual time will involve follow-up care of these patients, and also visits with the rest of our virtual national network of patients.

We're flexible to a Physician who wants to work part-time, up to 24 hours/month.

Here’s what you’ll do:

• Provide best-in‑class care for Galileo patients managing preventive care and chronic illnesses through our innovative, proprietary app and technology and your excellent clinical judgment
• Provide compassionate and empathetic care to patients across all needs, including complex, chronic medical conditions such as: diabetes, hypertension, obesity and mental health
• Work with a diverse patient population. We pride ourselves on fostering a culture that is inclusive of all backgrounds
• On a monthly basis, you’ll travel to provide care to patients at our onsite health clinics
• Solve patient problems in an efficient, nimble manner by drawing on resourcefulness, collaborating with team members to leverage their expertise, and a "can-do" approach

We would love to hear from you if you have the following or equivalent experience:

• 5+ years of clinical experience in chronic care and primary care
• Comfort with basic procedural skills
• Are experienced in or have an appetite for learning digital‑first healthcare (e.g. virtual medicine)
• Are interested in new, innovative models of care that balance evidence‑based approaches with creative ideas
• Are highly comfortable with using technology and various applications to deliver care to patients virtually. Our current tech stack is: Proprietary built clinician‑patient platform , Google Suite (gmail, sheets, docs, etc), Zoom, and Slack
• Active board certification in Family or Internal Medicine
• Active licensure in Texas or ability to obtain license by start date with Galileo
• Strong communication skills, especially the ability to translate complex ideas into simple language
• It's a bonus if you are professionally fluent in English/Spanish including reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the cultural nuances for native Spanish speakers in a medical setting

Compensation:

$150/hour
