Job summary

Camillus Health Concern in Miami, FL seeks a dedicated Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) to provide comprehensive, patient-centered medical care across diverse populations. The role emphasizes preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and improving long-term health outcomes within a multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will diagnose, treat, and manage conditions while coordinating with nursing, behavioral health, and case management to deliver integrated care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Residency in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Board certified or board eligible in FM or IM.
• Current, unrestricted Florida medical license.
• Current DEA registration or ability to obtain before practicing.
• Eligibility to participate in Medicare, Medicaid, and other payer programs.
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, communication, and documentation skills.
• Commitment to culturally responsive, patient-centered care.
• Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
• Proficiency with electronic health records and clinical technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care services, including preventive screenings, physical examinations, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
• Evaluate and manage acute and chronic conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, HIV, and other complex medical needs.
• Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans that address patients' medical and social needs.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and coordinate referrals.
• Collaborate with nursing, behavioral health, case management, and other healthcare professionals for integrated care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the EHR, including encounter completion and charge capture.
• Manage a patient caseload consistent with quality, access, and productivity standards.
• Participate in clinical quality improvement, peer reviews, and patient safety activities.
• Support population health initiatives and strategies to reduce healthcare disparities.
• Participate in medical staff meetings, continuing education, and after-hours call coverage.
• Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, infection prevention, HIPAA, and regulatory requirements.
