Job summary

Kintegra Health in Lexington, NC seeks a Primary Care Physician to join our clinical team and provide comprehensive primary care services in the community. This role emphasizes patient-centered care, supervision of midlevel providers, and collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer to improve quality and access.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Current NC MD/DO license or eligibility.
• Current DEA certificate required.
• Board certification in specialty preferred.
• Minimum: prior medical office or FQHC experience preferred.
• Knowledge of population health management in underserved populations.
• Ability to communicate with patients, providers and staff.
• Efficient, organized and accurate.

Responsibilities

• Engages in a patient-centered approach to providing care for patients and their families.
• Provides medical evaluation, treatment and consultation services to patients of the clinic.
• Responds to emergencies and answers medical questions.
• Obtains and documents history, past medical, family and social history, review of systems, exam, medications and allergies, assessment and plan.
• Provides medical orders for prescriptions, tests, and referrals as needed.
• Reviews test results timely and coordinates follow-up.
• Supervises patient care by home health, nursing home, or hospice.
• Available to patients personally or through staff to answer questions and relay information.
• Completes paperwork to comply with insurance and reimbursement guidelines.
• Supervises midlevel providers and delegates authority as needed.
• Participates in the QI process by reviewing charts and giving feedback.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Medical Director.
