Job summary

Kintegra Health in Lexington, NC is seeking a Medical Provider to deliver professional medical services as part of primary care delivery. The role includes clinical leadership, supervision of midlevel providers, and ensuring quality patient care in a fast-paced clinic setting.

The position requires an MD or DO, NC licensure eligibility, and DEA certification. Experience in FQHC or medical office settings and population health management is preferred.

Qualifications

• Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy degree required.
• Current or eligible NC MD or DO licensure required; DEA certificate required.
• Board Certification in Specialty preferred.
• Previous medical office or FQHC experience preferred.
• Knowledge of population health management in underserved populations.
• Able to communicate and relate well with patients, providers and clinical staff.
• Efficient, organized and accurate.

Responsibilities

• Engages in patient-centered care for patients and families.
• Performs medical evaluation, treatment and consultations.
• Responds to emergencies and medical questions.
• Obtains and documents pertinent history, exam, medications and plan.
• Reports prescriptions, refills, tests, and referrals as needed.
• Reviews test results timely and coordinates follow-up with patients.
• Supervises care by non-clinic staff such as home health, nursing home, hospice.
• Available to patients or staff to answer questions about care.
• Completes paperwork to comply with insurance and reimbursement guidelines.
• Supervises midlevel providers and delegates authority as needed.
• Participates in quality improvement and peer chart reviews.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Medical Director.
