Job summary

Centurion Health is expanding in Georgia and seeks a full-time Physician to join Augusta State Medical Prison in Augusta. The physician will provide medical assessments, treat emergent and routine issues, and supervise chronic care under the Medical Directors and HSA to ensure efficient, clinically appropriate services in a correctional setting.

Applicants must hold an MD or DO, be licensed or eligible, and have DEA registration. Competitive benefits and a clear credentialing process are offered.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Active, unrestricted MD/DO license or ability to obtain one.
• Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.
• Must have DEA registration with prescriptive authority.
• Ability to pass credentialing and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform medical assessments and evaluations for inmates.
• Provide treatment for emergent, urgent, and routine medical issues.
• Supervise medical treatment for chronic conditions.
• Participate in initiatives to prevent diseases and injuries in a correctional setting.
