Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a part-time Site Medical Director at Central State Prison in Leesburg, GA. The role provides clinical direction, supervises medical staff, and collaborates with the HSA to ensure high-quality medical services within a secure, structured correctional environment.

The Medical Director will oversee clinical services, participate in CQI and policy committees, and ensure credentialing, background checks, and DEA registration are current.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted physician license is required or the ability to obtain one.
• DEA registration must be obtainable or active.
• Credentialing and background check clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical direction to meet service delivery requirements.
• Direct clinical services for patients and supervise medical staff at the site.
• Collaborate with the Health Services Administrator to ensure efficient, appropriate medical services.
• Participate in CQI, Infection Prevention and Control, and Pharmacy and Therapeutics committees as requested.
• Support site operations and contribute to continuous quality improvement.

We are excited to announce that we will now also be expanding our services to include medical care. Centurion is actively seeking a part-time (24 hours a week) Site Medical Director at Central State Prison located in Leesburg, Ga.

The Medical Director provides the clinical direction needed to meet service delivery requirements, direct clinical services for patients, and clinical supervision for medical staff at the assigned site under the supervision of the Statewide Medical Director. The Medical Director collaborates with the Health Services Administrator (HSA) to ensure efficient and clinically appropriate medical services are provided and participates in various committees to include Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), Infection Prevention and Control, and Pharmacy and Therapeutics as requested.
