Job summary

Veterans Health Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Primary Care Physician Assistant to work in a Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) in an outpatient clinic. The PA will perform comprehensive histories and exams, develop treatment plans, and coordinate referrals with a supervising physician.

Strong communication and teamwork are essential in a fast-paced environment. This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) and offers a full-time schedule

Qualifications

• Maintain certification as a Physician Assistant and meet VA education requirements.
• Ability to work within a Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) and collaborate.
• Navigate multiple software and mainframe systems on a PC with standard OS.
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing; strong telephone skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care within a PACT in an outpatient clinic.
• Take comprehensive histories, perform exams, and develop treatment plans.
• Conduct medical record reviews, assessments, and diagnoses with appropriate referrals.
• Coordinate with supervisory physician and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Maintain ongoing education and participate in quality improvement.
