Job summary

Veterans Health Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs in Lake City, FL seeks an experienced Physician for our Primary Care Service. Ideal applicants communicate well, are team players, and contribute to the growth of a VA academic hospital program.

Board-certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine is preferred and eligibility for EDRP is available. Required: MD/DO, current full license, and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice medicine in the US
• MD or DO degree from a school approved by VA
• Board eligibility/certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive medical evaluations and direct patient care in primary care
• Use telehealth as appropriate and manage EMR documentation
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, radiology) and coordinate care
• Attend staff meetings and participate in educational activities
• Work schedule typically Monday–Friday 0800–1630
