Job Summary

As an Internal Medicine Physician (MD/DO), you will provide comprehensive medical care to adult patients, focusing on preventing, diagnosing, and treating illnesses and chronic conditions, while promoting overall health and well-being. This role requires a strong understanding of internal medicine and collaboration with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality care.

Essential Job Functions

• Patient Care - Conduct examinations, assessments, and evaluations; develop and implement treatment plans; coordinate care across disciplines.
• Diagnosis and Treatment - Use diagnostic tools, imaging, labs; prescribe medications and therapies based on evidence-based practices.
• Collaboration - Work with interdisciplinary teams; communicate effectively with patients and families.
• Preventive Medicine - Provide guidance on lifestyle, vaccinations, and screenings.
• Record Keeping - Maintain accurate medical records in electronic health systems.

Participation in ongoing medical education is encouraged.

Qualifications

No supervisory responsibilities.

• Medical Doctor degree from an accredited medical school.

• Completion of residency in internal medicine.

• Current and valid medical license.

• Board certification in Internal Medicine.

• Strong clinical, diagnostic, and communication skills; team collaboration ability.

Preferred: prior internal medicine experience post-residency.

Additional Information

This role does not involve handling money, contract negotiations, or budget responsibilities. Languages preferred include English (advanced), Spanish, and Creole. Travel is not required. The physical and environmental demands include standing, walking, using hands, exerting force, and working indoors with exposure to noise and weather conditions.
