Job Summary
This position supports the mission of Metro Family Practice by ensuring quality patient care and coordination within the health center. The physician will provide high-quality, cost-effective care, following scope of practice and standards of care, and may undertake additional duties as needed.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide direct medical intervention with accurate diagnosis and treatment.
- Meet or exceed clinical, quality, and productivity standards.
- Maintain accurate, confidential patient records.
- Ensure treatment complies with all regulatory and professional standards.
- Follow contracted protocols and procedures.
Relationship Management
- Develop positive relationships with patients and families, ensuring adherence to care plans.
- Build relationships with vendors, contractors, and payors.
- Collaborate effectively with other staff members.
Professional Conduct & Stewardship
- Maintain professionalism in all actions and communications.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and values.
Key Tasks & Duties
- Conduct physical assessments, diagnose, and treat health conditions.
- Support integration of primary and mental health services.
- Order and interpret labs, x-rays, CTs, MRIs.
- Perform medical procedures and prescribe treatments.
- Document patient interactions in the EHR.
- Follow-up care and patient education.
- Supervise support staff activities.
- Participate in community health education.
- Perform emergency procedures as needed.

Qualifications
Requirements:
- MD or DO from an accredited institution.
- Licensed to practice in Pennsylvania.
- Expertise in clinical practices, protocols, and trends.
- Experience with clinical operations and accreditation.
- Knowledge of regulations in community health settings.
- Ability to manage responsibilities and emergencies.
- Proficiency in office management, computers, and EMRs.
Physical Requirements:
Regularly sit, manipulate objects, reach, and communicate. Frequently lift up to 10 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds. Vision and hearing must meet specific requirements. Usually a quiet environment.
