Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a full-time physician to deliver primary care to client employees and their dependents at our Orlando Health Center. Clinic hours are 7A-7P Mon-Fri and 8A-6P Sat-Sun, totaling 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities include preventive, episodic, and acute care; order tests; develop treatment plans; and refer to specialists as needed. A valid state license, DEA, board certification, and CPR/ACLS are required.

Qualifications

• MD degree and licensed to practice in relevant state.
• Board-certified with ABMS/AMA or AOA.
• DEA license and state narcotics license if required.
• CPR/ACLS certification with hands-on evaluation.
• Minimum three years post-residency clinical experience.
• Experience in primary care, urgent care or ED settings.

• Conducts histories and physical examinations and prescribes medications and/or medical treatments.
• Develops treatment plans in collaboration with patients; educates and advises on medical issues.
• Provides referrals both internally and externally to appropriate medical resource or specialty.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of medical care and monitors progress of patients.
• Participates in the development of annual health center goals and objectives.

As a Full Time Physician, you'll provide primary care to client employees and their dependents of all ages in our Health Center located in Orlando, FL. The scheduled hours are 40 hours per week. The clinic schedule is 7A-7P Monday-Friday and 8A-6P Saturday and Sunday.

What You’ll Do

• Provides episodic, preventive, and acute health care to patients
• May provide occupational health services (i.e., post-offer physicals, occupational surveillance exams, medical monitoring, return to work exams and Worker’s Compensation medical guidance) in some health centers
• Conducts histories and physical examinations and prescribes medications and/or medical treatments based on best practice standards
• Develops treatment plans in collaboration with patients; educates and advises on medical issues as needed
• Provides referrals both internally and externally to appropriate medical resource or specialty
• Evaluates the effectiveness of medical care and monitors progress of patients
• Identifies emergency situations and provides care within legal scope of practice and as defined by Premise Health privileging process
• Participates in the development of annual health center goals and objectives
• Maintains medical records using (In some health centers it may be using Electronic Medical Record software)
• May formulate and administer health programs as needed
• Provides overall responsibility for the care of patients seen in the health care clinic in the absence of the Medical Leader
• May require other duties as assigned

Total on-line courses will not be accepted. Course must also meet the American Heart Association (AHA) standards but need not be an AHA certificate
• At least three years of post-residency clinical experience
• Experience in a primary care, urgent care or emergency room setting. (Occupational healthcare experience may apply in some clinics)
