Job summary

CenterWell Senior Primary Care in Greer, SC seeks a Variable Staffing Pool (VSP) Physician to provide outpatient primary care coverage for senior patients in a team-based, value-driven care model.

This onsite role offers a flexible schedule averaging fewer than 19 hours per week, with the opportunity to manage chronic and complex conditions, complete precise documentation, and coordinate care with specialists and the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited program.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatrics.
• Active, unrestricted South Carolina medical license (or ability to obtain).
• Current DEA license or ability to obtain.
• Ability to work a variable schedule averaging fewer than 19 hours per week.

Humana's Primary Care Organization provides senior-focused, value-based care through the CenterWell and Conviva brands. CenterWell Senior Primary Care is looking for a Variable Staffing Pool (VSP) Physician to provide outpatient primary care coverage for senior patients in Greer, SC. This is an onsite role that reports to the Associate Medical Director and offers a flexible schedule averaging fewer than 19 hours per week.

What you’ll do

• Provide comprehensive primary care services for senior patients.
• Manage chronic and complex medical conditions.
• Coordinate care with specialists and interdisciplinary care team members.
• Complete accurate clinical documentation.
• Support preventive care programs and positive patient outcomes.

• Typically see 12–15 patients per day, allowing for longer, more meaningful patient interactions.
• Care for seniors with multiple chronic and complex medical conditions.
• Collaborate with a dedicated, team‑based care model.

Required qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited program.

Preferred qualifications

• At least 2 years of clinical experience.
• Experience caring for senior populations.

Pay range

The compensation range reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job‑related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. $310,000 - $368,500 per year.
