Position Details

Title: Primary Care Physician

Location: Florissant, 472 N Hwy 67, Florissant, MO 63031

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Role Description

The purpose of a Primary Care Physician at Oak Street Health is to provide equitable and effective value-based healthcare to local Medicare patient populations at our neighborhood primary care centers. Our physicians operate at a single medical center supported by large care teams, enabling a focus on quality rather than volume. Our value-based care model and bonuses reward outcomes, reduce hospital admissions, promote preventive medicine, and enhance patient experience.

We seek physicians motivated to deliver excellent care to older adults. New graduates are encouraged to apply. Highly qualified candidates may also be considered for a Center Medical Director position.

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose patients at our clinics
• Oversee, direct, and administer primary care
• Prescribe and administer pharmaceutical treatments and medications
• Maintain Patient Electronic Medical Record data via canopy and greenway
• Collaborate with regional and central leadership to meet health quality goals
• Work with Practice Managers to manage the care team
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required

• Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) Graduate
• Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (or eligible)
• Unrestricted State License
• Active DEA license
• US work authorization
• Embodies being “Oaky”

Preferred

• Fellowship in Geriatrics
• Experience with Geriatric populations
• Experience in a Value-Based Healthcare Model
• Experience in outpatient primary care
• Bilingual proficiency (if applicable)
