Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold a Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an approved program.
• National Board Certification for Nurse Practitioners required.
• Active state NP licensure and prescriptive authority within the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary healthcare services for non-acute or chronic conditions; document medical history and physical exams and develop therapeutic care plans.
• Coordinate patient care with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams; involve supervising physician as needed.
• Monitor and ensure continuity of care with periodic physician evaluation as defined by the CRNP agreement.
• Prepare prescription orders and administer medications, injections, and wound care.
• Educate patients and families on health, medications, instructions, and community resources.
• Triage telephone calls and manage continuity of care; participate in performance/quality improvement initiatives.
• Comply with regulatory requirements and participate in duties specific to the specialty.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education

Master's degree MSN from the practicing State Board of Nursing Approved Master's Program

National Board Certification for Nurse Practitioners through an accredited association
