Tljohnie is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) for a Correctional Care locum assignment in a correctional facility. The role involves providing comprehensive primary care to incarcerated individuals with a 4‑day work week, day shifts, and no weekends.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, managing acute and chronic conditions, and keeping detailed NextGen EMR documentation. DEA registration and NP licensure (FNP/AGNP/NP) are required along with BLS/ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• Requires Master’s degree or higher.
• 1+ years of Primary Care experience.
• 1+ years of Care Management experience.
• 1+ years of experience in Correctional Care or Correctional Medicine.

Position Summary

Provides comprehensive primary care to incarcerated individuals in a structured clinical setting, managing acute and chronic conditions while working closely with healthcare and facility staff to ensure quality patient care.

Qualifications Required

Education

Master’s degree or higher

Experience

• Primary Care (1+ years)
• Care Management (1+ years)
• 1+ years of experience in any of the following:
  • Correctional Care
  • Correctional Medicine

Licenses/Certifications

• Valid Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration
• Any of the following valid licenses/certifications:
  • Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
  • Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP)
  • Nurse Practitioner (NP)
• Any of the following valid licenses/certifications:
  • American Red Cross Basic Life Support (ARC BLS)
