U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ Cincinnati VA Medical Center seeks an Advanced Practice Nurse (NP) to provide direct patient care in Primary Care. EDRP Authorized is being offered.

This role emphasizes comprehensive clinical practice, population health, and teamwork within the Primary Care Team. The NP must hold a post-master's certificate, master's, or doctoral degree in nursing, be licensed as an NP, and hold board certification in ACNP/AGACNP or FNP/ANP/AGPCNP/WHNP.

Qualifications

• Post-master's certificate or master's/doctorate in NP
• Graduate of an ACEN/CCNE-accredited nursing program
• Active NP license to practice in the US or DC
• NP board certification in ACNP/AGACNP or FNP/ANP/AGPCNP/WHNP
• English language proficiency required

Responsibilities

• Independently manages a panel of patients with acute and chronic conditions
• Develops and implements individualized plans for population health
• Orders and interprets labs, tests, and diagnostic studies
• Prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions
• Initiates referrals to specialty services
• Provides education to patients and families
• Works with Primary Care Team and interdisciplinary colleagues
