Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Family/Adult Nurse Practitioner to provide primary healthcare in a physician office setting. The NP will work in primary care with weekend and on-call rotations as required, under the supervision of a physician.

The incumbent will manage patient histories, assessments, and treatment plans, coordinate with families and specialists, and order tests while ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program.
• National Board Certification for Nurse Practitioners.
• Current practicing-state Nurse Practitioner license.

Responsibilities

• Record patient medical history and perform physical assessments.
• Develop therapeutic care plans and order/interpret diagnostic tests.
• Coordinate patient care with patients, families, and the care team.
• Prescribe medications and provide wound care as needed.
• Educate patients and families on health, meds, and follow-up care.
• Triage calls and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
