Job summary

Baltimore Medical System (BMS) is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner to provide primary care services in the Baltimore area. The FNP will assess health, perform exams, obtain histories, and order diagnostic tests as needed.

The role requires MD licensure as a Nurse Practitioner, a Master's degree, and at least 1 year of NP experience in family medicine. A competitive salary and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• CDS, DEA, CPR certifications.

The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) is a licensed independent practitioner. The FNP assesses patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical examinations, obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories. He/she determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory studies; interpreting test results.

Frequent communication outside of the work group is required to resolve disagreements, reach agreements, and clarify issues/processes. Responsibility exists to ensure that internal customers are satisfied with service. Communicates with external contacts frequently and is responsible for ensuring ongoing service.

Requirements

Education
