Job summary

First Flight Health Centers in Dayton, OH is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to deliver high-quality primary care to a diverse patient population, in collaboration with physicians and the care team.

You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, order tests, prescribe medications, educate patients, and participate in quality improvement and team-based care.

The role supports flexible schedules including full-time and part-time arrangements in a community health setting.

Qualifications

• Active State RN license.
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• MSN preferred, unless grandfathered.
• Board certification in applicable NP specialty.
• Minimum of two (2) years of primary care experience preferred but not required.
• Prescriptive authority and current BLS certification.
• Experience in an FQHC or community health setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments including medical history, physical exams, and psychosocial evaluations.
• Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans.
• Order, interpret, and follow up on laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe medications and administer injections as authorized.
• Make referrals to specialists and community resources as appropriate.
• Provide patient education and counseling on health promotion, disease prevention, and treatment adherence.
• Evaluate effectiveness of treatments and adjust care plans as needed.
• Triage and respond to patient phone calls and medical inquiries.
