Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA) for the HMH Metropark Health and Wellness outpatient facility in Edison, NJ. The APN/PA will work in a patient-centered, coordinated care model with the hospital team to assess and implement care plans.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an approved physician's assistant program.
• Master's or Doctorate in a Nurse Practitioner program.
• NPI and prescriptive authority per NJ law.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents history and physical assessments for patient age and condition.
• Orders, performs, and interprets labs and tests with physicians as appropriate.
• Manages medical conditions using knowledge of etiologies, risks, and pharmacology.
• Prescribes medications safely and educates patients as required.
• Promotes APN practice recognition through conferences, publications, and presentations.
• Provides patient- and family-centered care and adheres to clinical standards.
