Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital in St Joseph, MI seeks a dynamic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for its Internal Medicine clinic. This full-time position offers a 40-hour week (36 patient contact hours and 4 administrative hours) with a Mon-Fri schedule, 8:00am–5:00pm.

EPIC EMR, on-site imaging and labs support patient care. The team includes 4 physicians; responsibilities include coordinating care across disciplines, maintaining practice agreements, and providing patient education.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree MSN-Nurse Practitioner. Required.
• Preferred Doctorate.
• 1 year of relevant experience as nurse practitioner is preferred.
• LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) in MI upon hire required.
• LIC-Nurse Practitioner (NP) in MI upon hire required, or
• Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies required.
• 1 year of relevant experience as physician assistant is preferred.
• LIC-Physician Assistant (PA) in MI upon hire required.
• LIC-Controlled Substance in MI upon hire required.
• BLS - 90 days required; ACLS preferred.

Responsabilités

• Managing patients and coordinating services across disciplines within and outside the health system.
• Maintains a collaborative practice agreement with the specific physician(s).
• Exercises independent judgment in assessment, diagnosis and initiation of protocols.
• Provides educational support for patients, families, health team members, and community; coordinates QA/QI studies.
