Job summary

Optum Colorado in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Briargate clinic team. The role focuses on high-quality, patient-centered outpatient care in a collaborative, physician-led environment.

You'll manage care, perform assessments, order tests, coordinate with specialists, maintain documentation, and support value-based care initiatives while enjoying a strong benefits package and opportunities for CME and career growth.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care in outpatient setting
• See patients of all ages; primarily adults/senior base
• Average daily patient census: 18-20 patients
• Complete timely and thorough documentation
• Formulate diagnostic and treatment plans
• Prescribe and administer medications, therapies, and procedures
• Order lab and imaging tests to determine and manage an immediate treatment plan and provide advice on follow up
• Responsible for the coordination of care with specialists and appropriate ancillary services
• Maintain quality of care standards as defined by the practice
