Job summary

MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) in Sumter, South Carolina, seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to join a primary care team delivering comprehensive care. You will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients across the lifespan, working with physicians, nurses, and staff in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program with current licensure or eligibility for licensure in South Carolina.
• Currently licensed (or eligible) in the state of South Carolina as a Physician Assistant by the SC Board of Medical Examiners or as a Nurse Practitioner with the SC Board of Nursing.
• Requires certification in BLS APRN or PA must maintain licenses, certifications, CNEs/CMEs, etc. as required by applicable policies and state law.
• At least 6 months of Primary Care Experience.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient evaluates and treats on the basis of history, physical examination, radiological, laboratory, and other diagnostic test results.
• Initiates referrals to other health care providers, and/or consults with the attending physician.
• Documents and bills for direct care provided.
• Potential to precept students enrolled as an advanced practice provider student; and facilitates the learning of other new team members.
